If you’d rather a kayak or a raft, you can choose from different options for your day adventure. This is a family owned business that has been raved about for its customer service by all its visitors. You can even turn it into a nice camping spot after your fun-filled day. Make sure you check out the riverside all-you-can-eat steak dinner along with the luxurious cabin rentals.
Bike And Roll
Spending the day on a Segway is a more modern take on fun. At Bike and Roll, you can learn how to use a Segway while touring the beautiful city of Washington D.C. You can also take advantage of the bike rentals to tour the most popular monuments and memorials. They offer rental bikes for all types of terrain and kids as well. The company was established in 1996 and continues to be a must-know place in Washington D.C.

Although this is a rather sad piece of history, it serves as a remembrance of President Abraham Lincoln. Here you can learn all about the assassination of Abraham Lincoln when he was suddenly shot by John Wilkes Booth in Ford’s Theatre. It is a national historic site and working theatre sure to fulfill your site seeing needs. There are tons of places to grab a tasty bite to eat around the theatre, too.

This is not the kind of mall you are thinking of – it’s even better! The National Mall is the greatest attraction to visit in D.C. The National Mall serves as an emblem of our nation by the acres of green grass stretching from the United States Capital to the Potomac River. At the National Mall, you can visit many important sites like the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, World War II memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and many more. The National Mall will always be iconic to the United States.
United States Botanical Garden
Who doesn’t want to spend the day looking at beautiful flowers, relaxing fountains, and peaceful walkways? The United States Botanical Garden has a large array of different plants, trees, cacti and flowers that are all simply stunning. A garden like this can take your breath away. This hidden gem provides a sense of relaxation within the busy city. There are about 120 educational programs that children can take part in. The US Botanical Garden is highly recommended if you ever get the chance.
